“In Musica” – Roma International Music Festival and Piano Competition 2018
The European Foundation for Support of Culture is presenting “In Musica” – Roma International Music Festival and Piano Competition 2018 – a new and intriguing Classical Music Festival which will take place in Rome from 9th till 17th July at some of the most important and beautiful venues of the Italian Capital.
A major international event in Rome Caput Mundi, a place of history, where all the arts meet for centuries and blend together, creating a unique cultural intensity in the world.
The Festival will start on July 9th with a series of concerts with the “Roma Tre Orchestra”, featuring internationally acclaimed musicians, and ends on July 17th with a concert of the final round of the Piano Competition, featuring the finalists performing piano concertos with orchestra.

Piano Competition 2018
The International Piano Competition – which will be decided over three rounds – will be open for pianists of all nationalities, providing an opportunity and a new effective platform for young pianists, not only to show their technique, skills and professionalism, but also their personality and knowledge when interpreting the compositions which they will be performing.
In 2018 Malta’s capital city Valletta is the European Capital of Culture and on this occasion, there will be a compulsory composition ‘Images from the Great Siege’ by a very well-known contemporary Maltese composer Alexey Shor during the second round.
The Total Prize Fund of the Piano Competition is EUR 56.000.
